Having come from a Moto X I have some experience with certain features built into Lollipop. Seems 2013 Moto X was Googles guinea pig for many of these new software features. Please use them as a framework for your implementation of Lollipop. You have been known to have a soft touch regarding your own skin on top of Android. This is good.
With the Z3 line; hardware sensors/horsepower are there to do whatever is needed to make Lollipop fly. I am sure it will. Take your time and get it right. Make your tremendous product even better.
