Sony Z3 (Lollipop) Issue with could not send notification

Hi all, have a Sony Z3 running lollipop and have just encountered my first issue. Had an MMS that could not send and received a notification advising me as such. The issue is the notification now re appears ever time i open the text messaging app!

So far i have deleted the conversation that caused the failure and this has down nothing to fix it. And yes i have restarted my device (nothing also). Anyone got any ideas to fix this?

Probably obvious but have you tried cleaning the cache?
