Phone Info:
Samsung Galaxy S2 (E4GT)
Android 4.0.4
FL24

I've already flashed a Rooted Stock ROM onto the phone, but now I'm wanting to change the Rooted Stock ROM to CYANOGENMOD10. It's been awhile since I've rooted, and after downloading Clockworkmod, it says that they don't have an officially supported recovery for this phone model. I don't know much about this, other than the basics.

So basically, how do I go about getting a custom recovery?
After I get the recovery, what do I need to do next?

You already have the custom recovery, Clockwork Mod. As for CyanogenMod, I am not sure if 10 is supported by the device. However, if you check out XDA forums, there are other ROMs that are posted that should work. I don't think too highly of CM anyway.

Im running pacman which is all 3 in one (aokp cm and aosp) and its pretty smooth tho idk if sniper is still working on it since the last update was 3/25

I've been following the directions from [ROM] CyanogenMod 10.1 - WILD FOR THE NIGHT - Apr. 8, 2013 - xda-developers

I have the direct boot kernel for EL29 on the phone's SD card and on my desktop.
I have the ROM and Gapp ZIP files on both my phone's SD card and on my desktop.
My custom recovery is ClockworkMod 5.X.X.X
I downloaded Mobile Odin, and upon trying to open it, it says that it can't recognize my device type (and auto-closes).

So basically I'm stuck, as I'm not able to flash the "safe kernel" into the custom recovery.
Any advice?

What kernel are you currently running? Are you using Superuser or SuperSU?

I've been hunting around in the forums for a while and haven't found an answer yet and I'm not starting s new thread about it but is it still possible to root the S2 Ep-Touch after the JB update? Can someone drop me a link and I'll be a happy camper. :)

Toymechanic has the link you should follow -- Use Odin to install a rooted ROM based on GB27.

Can you link the specific guidelines for your root method? Specifically, how did you flash a rooted stock ROM?

Flashing a a rooted ROM is easy on a Samsung device. The dev just puts together a Stock TouchWiz from source and adds root into a .tar files to flash through Odin.

Now to answer the OPs question, you should download mobile Odin and and download the el26cwm kernel tar file then boot into recovery and flash your ROM and GAPPS.
