Sprint 2.1 leak

I booted into the recovery menu did all the wipes(got errors for 2 of them). then i did the update.
Now the phone keeps rebooting itself.
I have no idea what to do. Please help?

Edit: I held down home button and turned on and now it looks updated!

adb devices - doesn't find the phone now and I'm having problems updating it in device manager.

Edit: I installed HTC sync 2.0.25 for the eris from HTC support site and now adb works agian.

Now to test...

Hey guys, can anyone help me out? I installed using the first option (when it was FIRST released yesterday morning) and most of my paid apps are not showing up in the market. Is there anyway I can switch back to DamageControl 2.1 or use the 2nd or 3rd options for this Sprint 2.1 leak?

1.6(HTC) works. In the first post is a link to some add-ons for this. You'll want to pick superuser and the wifi tether app that works is also on that page.

Try the one on the front page 1.6
otherwise, I got 2.0 pre7 to work on a DamageControl ROM last week, but you have to do the Airplane mode toggle for it to work.

nice work gill this rom here is very responsive and smoother then the one i had.And everything works incliuding all of my paid apps form the market and free ones.But i have one problem.I had flipz rom, as you know i always geared to your rom, How can i get rid of the "flipz_01" in the pri version.Before you answer i did wipe and cleared cache and ext.

ok, it looks like i am in a bootloop using the second root method. i get the white HTC screen, but it will eventually go back to the sprint boot animation. i did a logcat and it eventually stopped after reporting: I/zygote < 993>: Exit zygote because system server <998> has terminated

it says some things after that to about media.this and that.

any help please?

Did you wipe everything in recovery prior to flashing?
At least Data/factory reset, dalvik, and ext need to be wiped.

re-root, re-flash recovery, re-flash new ROM

Having said that, Flipz may have a solution. I'm not really sure what he did, but i was told that the above will get you back to the regular Sprint PRI.

Are you using apps2sd?
Make sure you wipe everything. New ROMs from Sprint don't use odex files, so changing the system requires a full wipe (including the ext partition if you're using apps2sd). Also, anytime you change a file in /system, you need to wipe dalvik from recovery before you reboot.

i did. then i went in there and messed with contacts. i am guessing that is where i messed it up.

soooo i went and just installed the ruu from windows cause i am impatient and wanted to play with 2.1. used that for a litttle bit at dinner but started to get constant force close due to process.gapps.

now i am restoring my backups and i am gonna try the root method again. and this time i won't fiddle with anything after i do a wipe.

i will report back.

First page it says add-ons click the link should be some zips that you flash threw recovery.

lol thanks i just did a reset using 4636 and fixed it for me. on gumbo is 1.68 pri version

silly question, but how do I install the 2.1? I did all the rooting and nandroid backup stuff in the other How-To guide, but I'm not sure what to do here. Do I copy the signed-cl157175.zip to my sd card?

yes then choose flash from zip file from the recovery screen
