Sprint 2.1 leak

Ok...

I frequently lose all sounds on my phone now, rendering the phone unusable. Three times out of five the phone resets itself.

Would switching from option 2 to 3 possibly fix this? And is it possible to do?

That's freaky as hell, but rest assured it's not just you. Something is different on some Hero's, and I don't care what HTC says otherwise.

There's a hack out there that disables the trackball light and the lightsensor that fixes it, but I'm not real familiar with it, as none of my phones have this glitch.

The only way i know of to get everything 100% working is to roll back to 1.5 :( . You can easily switch from option 2 to option 3, just download and flash it right over your current system. Probably won't even have to wipe. I just don;t think it will make a difference

the htc sense that beezy420 has in the file would not replace the one on the phone it said now downloaded ??

You have to flash the file beezy has posted from the custom recovery image.

I've been playing around with it all night to try and replicate the problem, sending myself test messages.

It's not extremely consistent. But what seems to be making it happen most is if I receive a notification with audio while the screen is off, and I hit menu, swipe to unlock, then swipe down the notification bar, then hit the notification itself.

Again, that doesn't always make it work, and sometimes it does it from other stuff. But this seems to do it the most.

Using option 2, all seemed nice except i wanted a2sd, so i flashed to option 3. I have encountered the no sound issue, i rebooted and it was fine after that. i cant use any of the preset scenes unless i reinstall the clock app, music app etc. also when updating "My Contact Card" if you try to choose a picture from your pics after selecting it the app will hang. if you take a fresh picture it saves it very nicely. i know i selected a pic from my gallery in option 2. hope this helps devs!

what do i use to open the files beezy posted?

You're getting ahead of yourself a bit. This is why we had the warning to only use the RUU if you were sure you didn't care about this sort of thing :)

You need to follow the steps we linked in the right order, and we'll get you fixed up. If you hit any snags trying to install the USB drivers let us know

you need to navigate to the Android-sdk/tools folder on your computer that is cd \Android_stuff\Android-sdk\tools or whereever you put the SDK on your pc.

Well then.

I found the fix mentioned for the sounds problem. Lost my trackball light, which I really never cared about so no biggie, but that worked.

I switched over to option 3 and installed live papers. No biggie on losing weather animations as they only seemed to occur if you unlocked by swiping and I prefer hitting menu twice.

Now I'm trying to figure out apps2sd but I don't seem to be doing it right. Nothing goes onto the sd card after partitioning, uninstalling apps, and reinstalling. Can't really find a good guide on how it works now.

i ran setup but it didnt save in a folder ill mess with this after class tomorrow ill write you guys tomorrow thank you for your time sorry if im a pain in the ass

as long as you partitioned the card then opt 3 will use a2sd. try this, adb shell, cd /data/app/ , pwd , if it returns /system/sd/app then it is working.
