Sprint Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery-The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Re: Sprint Galaxy Nexus Extended Battery-The Good, The Bad & The

Read the thread. Call.

4 pages in and I haven't seen any reference that answers / relates to my post. Every post is about the performance of the battery or how to condition it.

Hence, why I posted my comment.

@stimulatedboredom

You have to call sprint and ask for a telesales rep and they can assist you. The other caveat is "while supplies last" its been a couple of weeks so I don't know if they have any more batteries left.

Thanks, Maverick, a much more helpful response.

I just called them and they are saying that it is only for people who buy a new phone. I expressed how misleading the language was and they agreed. I will attempt to get someone from telesales, and I also have a friend that works there and will run it past them.

I tried calling the store near my office to see if they had any in stock (simply to buy, as I have been waiting for an extended battery from them since I got the phone) and they didn't have any or even seem to know that one was released.

Direct to Telesales: 866-866-7509

Those named Maverick are the most helpful. :p

I had a message in the My Sprint section of the site telling me about the battery deal so I tried to buy it and of course it tried to sell me a new phone. I spoke to a customer service rep using the live chat and they told me to call telesales. They processed my order with no hassles. They even offered me 20 % off another accessory. Should get the battery Thursday.

Yo bruh thank you! I got the extended battery from sprint N's trying to find a case! I was going to get the 3800mah sedio but I didn't want that bulky case. So again I thank you for this link. I'm ordering it now!

O yeah you have to call 1 800 number for offer! Shipping is 15 bucks.

The good battery drain slower, last longer if you aren't on it even more making it seem not that long. The bad there is only one case that will fit snug and that's the one in this link. I've tried cases at Verizon and sprint and I didn't like the look or the way it fit. I can give comfort for custom design. I rather case fit than look cute.

They did the same with me trying to offer 20% off on accessories

All - I just called yesterday - dialed *2 on my phone. Finally got to a person. It took about 20 minutes on hold, but they eventually gave me the free battery and cover (and charged me just under $15 for S&H. But worth it for a new battery in my opinion. I get the battery tomorrow.

I think they have plenty left because the sales rep offered one to me yesterday unsolicited

Love the extended battery. Feels great on the phone and love how the back of now flush with the device.

Yeah got my battery yesterday... the phone feels heavier and more sturdy in my hand. I won't really know for a few hours if the extra juice makes a difference.

I've had mine for a couple weeks now, and I am not impressed. It has not lasted longer than 8 hrs on a charge, and NFC does not work. I would be upset that I even paid for S&H on this thing if Sprint had not refunded the amount on my bill. I may pick up another one if they will let me and hope for better results, but as for right now, I will be putting my original battery back in.

Sounds like you might have a bad battery. I'm not getting much better battery life (maybe 20 or 30 minutes more of screen-on time), but NFC definitely works. I'm pretty sure NFC not working is reason enough for a replacement.

Went ahead and picked myself up one of these for my birthday.
Gotta tell you, I REALLY like it. :D
Fits perfectly. Built Android Tough.
Great coverage front and back. Love the kickstand.
Just my $.02

Does the metal kickstand on the Sedio Active extended case affect your signals or NFC use at all. I'm curious how a (relatively) big piece of aluminum across the back of the phone would affect reception and NFC. I'd love to do a comparison.

On a related note. I'm using the Sedio Active case with kickstand for the stock battery. I'm using that one because I already had it before the extended battery promotion. It fits over the extended battery (although it is pretty snug). And this one happends to have a plastic kickstand.

No affect to the NFC at all. Operating as designed.
Still loving this case. :)
