I just seen it in the AT&T threads, don't know if its the reason many of you are having battery drain issues, thought you may want to give it a try, i personally am not having any issues since the update

It hasn't helped me at all. I'm on Sprint. Maybe it's only an AT&T problem.

Just thought I'd toss in my 2?...

Yesterday my battery drained quickly and died at about 10 PM last night.

I fully charged the phone over night.

Then this morning I saw that there was an update to Google Maps. The update in the Play Store simply said "Bug fixes".

So far today my battery life seems to be good. It is 10:30 PM and I am only down to 75%.

So, my guess is that the "Bug fixes" had to do with the bug that you all mentioned here.

Just my thoughts.

Has anyone noticed a jumpy signal after the update? I notice that sometimes I will have full bars then a second later have no bars for a second or two before jumping back up. I know it's hard to tell these things with something as unique as signal strength but just wondering if I'm alone here.

You are seeing this because after 4.3 update the signal bar represent data signal strength, not voice.

Anyone experiencing this... Radio crashing with BT error???

Yep at around an hour of FM Radio listening the Bluetooth crash message comes up. It kills the FM radio until I reboot. Bluetooth is off on my phone 100% of the time. Stock Sprint HTC ONE with 4.3 update using stock Radio app.

Here's an interesting one:
Before update: Phone on vibrate, Gmail and Facebook notifications set to NOT vibrate, phone did not vibrate and only LED would flash
After update: Same settings but now phone vibrates for every email and FB notification

This is really annoying because I leave my phone on vibrate overnight on my nightstand in case of an emergency call and also so when my wife texts that she got to work ok I can hear it, but I don't want it to vibrate for every freakin' email or FB notification all night long. Now I have to turn it completely silent or deal with the buzzing waking us up all night. So either it was broken before and wasn't working as they intended, or it's broken now with the update.

My battery life seems to have actually improved a bit since the update. The only issues I'm having are (1) the WiFi notification bug, (2) the camera still sucks, and (3) the Messages contact photos sometimes don't show up. I have no WiFi connection issues, and while the signal appears different, I haven't had any issues with it. I am still considering bringing the phone into Sprint re: the camera, though, as it's often so bad it's not just worth using.

My camera was pretty ****ty on my rooted htc one and then the phone died so I updated the replacement to 4.3 and noticed a significant difference in the camera quality in lower light and slow motion recording. I also have another htc one on 4.2 and it suffers the same camera issues as the previous phone on 4.2.

I am suffering from the exact same issue. I called HTC support and they told me that I was the first and only person to report it. They told me it might just be my phone. Everyone needs to call this in because I have been missing phone calls because I've had to put my phone on silent since Facebook and Mail cause my phone to constantly vibrate and drain battery. So annoying.

Same issue here. Gmail doesn't vibrate, but Hangouts and Outlook emails do. I've since had to turn off notifications completely for those two apps.

My battery is getting worse. This sucks! I've tried shutting down certain services, I've done a factory reset. This is awful.

I bought my HTC One a day or two after the 4.3 update was released so I updated right out of the box. I don't have any issues with my battery life - in fact it's really impressive. I jump between 4G and 3G all day long, I have a bluetooth device enabled for 10 hrs at work, I have most of my notifications disabled though... and I have all day battery life and then some. I can't really comment on the camera except to say that I wish it was a bit better, but that it is still the best camera I've ever had on a phone.

Just wanted to comment that I am not having any issues with the 4.3 upgrade.

Right after the 4.3 upgrade a couple of weeks ago, I did notice that my battery drained more quickly. After an update to Google Maps from the Play Store, however, my battery life has been great.

I also like the other added features, like quick access to common settings.

No problems here either. I had an initial problem after I installed the update and I think 4.1.2 settings conflicted with 4.3 settings and apps kept crashing, etc... did a factory reset and smooth sailing. Battery life is crazy good now, by the time I got home I'd be around 25%, now I'm around 40% with no change in my usual settings. No idea how people are having all these problems >.>

My battery life has taken a serious hit. I unplugged my phone this morning and the battery dropped from 100 to 98 then 95 within 90 seconds and it has continued to plummet. Reminds me of the original EVO days. I have had it off the charger for 1 hour 47 minutes and it has already dropped 36%. I was using it to listen to music (stock music player) while exercising at the gym, which I do every day and it only drops about 6%, and I have had twenty minutes of screen time.

Also, I made a phone call yesterday while on 3G but went into a strong 4G signal area and even though SignalCheck Pro showed I had a good LTE signal my phone would not connect to it so I could not do anything data related on my phone. My phone never had an issue before connecting to 4G/LTE if the signal was available and I was on the phone. My phone is also roaming more now at work than previous and even when I'm connected to Sprint with a very weak signal many phone calls are going to straight to voicemail. It happens about 33% of the time on my tests using my work phone to call my mobile. Previously it was extremely rare to go to straight to voicemail when I called my phone for tests.

There are some great features with 4.3 but this update has really made me not like this phone/Sprint overall. Thankfully I have a second phone with another provider I can use which is reliable.

You need to set your Roaming setting appropriately: SETTINGS>MOBILE DATA>ROAMING > HOME ONLY ... A common mistake by people who haven't had their phones setup properly, is having your phone on AUTOMATIC causes in my experience, an increase in signal issues and dropped calls (75% + more)---also, since your phone is set to roam, its ALWAYS SEARCHING for Roaming towers--a HUGE hit on battery---set to Home only--not saying you'll feel 100%, but you will see HUGE diff in your problems mentioned.
