Sprint LG G3, soft brick, then works, soft brick then works :8< ???HELP

I have a feeling this is a battery situation : but I thought I would ask.

If it is, can anyone suggest some...but I digress. Please help

I have been using my spring lg g3 for the last 10 months with no real problems. Yesterday after downloading a sprint update for something that I didnt even ask for...or approve, I turned my phone off to go to work. When I got off work, I turned it on and it was stuck in bootload LG life is good 1st screen.

It would flash the screen and go off, flash the screen and go off. I tried to factory reset from the recovery screen, pull the battery all that fun stuff.

I plugged it into my computer, and within 3 min, it factory restarted. This lasted until the battery got around 50% and then went right into the soft brick mode. Very frustrating.

Its currently stock, non root...never rooted
running android 5.01, kernal 3.4 , build ls59902va

I am going to cross post this and see if anyone can help.

I am not that proficient with LG devices. The ROM might have to be reflashed. I would take it into a Sprint store and see if they can reflash it.

They are not open until tomorrow.
Even with a non rooted phone I would need to reflash...?

I have the tools and info to use the lg flashtool just trying to hold off.

Just an update-
Looks like the battery.
Cannot prime it at the Sprint store...

First...no worries about cross posting. Second, even with a non rooted phone, it could still need a reflash. If you'd like to try yourself, go for it. However, if it were me, I would take it in.
