Sprint LTE

I'm sure there are plenty of customers just like me who are willing to testify to the fact that they were lied to in a Sprint store. I only said that I was never going to pay the etf fee. EVER!!!! Screwed by sprint :p. I SHOULD Sue!

I was out in the Elgin/Carpentersville area in 2010 and I was getting pretty good Wimax. I realize that's way outside Chicago, but it's not like it wasn't anywhere but

Man, to stay on Sprint and GIVE UP a working 4G capable phone for a 4G phone in theory just doesn't seem sensible.
I dont need a phone of the future. I need a phone of right now since I look to find a way to upgrade every 12 months anyway.

If you're in Brooklyn, you'll have LTE within a few months. NYC is in the first round. Long Island should be done by the end of the year. Also surrounding parts of Jersey and Connecticut.

I don't know how far north it goes, but wimax goes as far south of Chicago as Joliet.

And back when you signed up you had 30 days to test sprint's network without being etf bound. I'm sorry you weren't satisfied, but sprint gives ample resources to determine for yourself if the network and devices are appropriate for your needs.

:D:banghead::( the last face shows what a lotta sprint customers in illinois will look like soon jk... just outside that little city you won't get even a tiny signal.

Yeah stop spreading misinformation. We have wimax as far as 35-40 miles from the city, and LTE will reach out that far too.

Wasn't the last census in 2010? And wiki is a credible source? I'm sure the high ups in sprint have reason for their decisions...

I'm sorry, it was the Census estimate for 2011 based on the 2010 numbers. It's a moot point anyway as the link the guy I was discussing it with also had the same info. Is wiki a credible source? Credible enough for discussions here, especially when backed up by another page, plus I only have so much free time to go into research for a forum.

What does that get you around 2 megabits per second????

Fastest I've seen on display phones here in Bolingbrook, IL has been 12 mbps down.

Nice I wish I had it that good when I was on Sprint. I really did enjoy my 2 devices with them... But I couldn't even enjoy my unlimited data ... Maybe in 2 years I'll re look at the situation.

Also interesting... I guess the supreme court says class action lawsuits cannot be filed against carriers...

AT&T Mobility v. Concepcion - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

That's interesting. I'm just happy to be rid of Sprint. They have duped a lot of people like myself. Filing suit is not my goal... I made that statement to make a statement. I'm surprised that empathy isn't displayed here. The fact is Sprint sold a lot of 4 g phones and did not produce a 4 g signal to a lot of their customers. I know I'm not the only 1. I just feel somebody needs to say something about it.

Honestly, I lived in se ga for a while with a 4g device without being able to get a 4g signal without driving quite a distance. BFD. now I'm in an area that gets good "wimax" signal...

Swyped from my Photon using t-talk.

Where I live they talked up 4g and ran outta town :(. I was left with a Evo 4g& 3d by the time the info came out. Then to find out the corporate store left  Duped I tell ya :(

Did sprint ever confirm or make a statement that your town was to get wimax. (Store reps don't count) If not, stop complaining.

Nobody is going to give you empathy if you're running around screaming lawsuit and didn't do your research before you signed a contract.
