Sprint LTE

Then it should no problem for you to link a source showing how 2.5Ghz hardware works in other spectrums.

Sprint was very forthcoming in the past that existing Wimax was only a software upgrade away from LTE, or something of the like. Simple Google search should take care of that one too.
 
Like I've always said, pick your carrier based on your location, and then pick your phones. It's simple, if you don't like Sprint in your area, switch. I've been all over the country and never had a problem. People need to remember that just because Sprint is weak in their area doesn't mean it is everywhere, and people that are upset with service are more likely to post about it than people that are happy.

I have 4 lines on Sprint with unlimited everything and pay about $180 a month. Verizon can't even come close.

I understand what you're saying... But I was lied to by the salesman (at one time was a corporate store, now a sister store) and was repeatedly lied to buy customer service. I... like others finally started seeing the light and got the hell out of dodge. ;) I refuse to pay that ridiculous early termination fee also. I believe ill be a lawsuit that will rectify a lot of peoples early termination fees and such. I know I am not the only one who was lied to. Right now I'm comfortable with the carrier I'm with, but I feel uncomfortable knowing I was lied to. :mad:

The problem you'll run into with a lawsuit is that Sprint never guaranteed 4G. The salesman may have lied to you, but I don't know how you would prove that. Without that, I don't see where a lawsuit would get you. It's just like how salesman told people the $10 premium data charge was a 4G charge, even though Sprint always referred to it as Premium Data, and never 4G.

Their contract specifically says that anything salesman say is not binding.

Yeah, but proving it in court is another story.

Except if the contract specifically says that nothing a salesperson said is binding, its hard to prove that what a salesperson said and sprint didn't do is a violation of that contract.

Oh its been up and running there for a bit. Kankakee was more of a test setup than anything else. I would bet they are testing the improved back haul that will serve Chicago later this year.

For what I read its not gonna be anytime soon for Chicago .but who knows

Chicago is being upgraded to Network Vision as we speak. Completion (and LTE) is expected this summer. Its taking longer there because Clearwire has more spectrum than sprint does, so its a partner city.

Oh I see. It sounded like you were speaking from the consumer's perspective and not sprints or the court's.

Yes it would be almost impossible to prove anything. You could try, but sprint would just point out that contract clause and that would be the end of it. The only way you could do it is if sprint corporate sent you something in writing about the roll out and then reneged. (Which they would never do to begin with)

I'm sure there are plenty of customers just like me who are willing to testify to the fact that they were lied to in a Sprint store. I only said that I was never going to pay the etf fee. EVER!!!! Screwed by sprint :p. I SHOULD Sue!
