Just in case this has not been mentioned.

My sprint navigator was updated today and is now called Telenav gps navigator version 6.2

I just used it Wednesday and had the old version. Go to use it today and asked to upgrade.
Not sure what is all been changed. I do know it uses a triangle like Google nav not the little car icon like before. I kinda liked the little car icon.

Now there is an upgrade button. It's $4.99 per month if you upgrade to premium.
Here is what is included
*speed traps
*traffic cameras
*lane assist on freeways
*speed limits as you drive
Not sure if it's worth the $4.99

I wish it would have the current speed setting like the garmin nav's have.

Just thought I would let everyone know about the upgrade.

I'll have to check it out. I use Sprint Navigation all the time when I am on business trips.

FYI, Sprint Navigation was always Telenav, it just had a small amount of skinning.

I just updated mine, so far I'm liking the color change and the feel of the app feels snappier.

Would anyone that did the Sprint Navigation to Telenav update go into their:

Settings>Appplications>All (tab) > TeleNav

And tell me the version?

I'm running a ROM that included TeleNav (5.8), but I don't know if it is the already updated one.

Thanks for the heads up... I rarely use Sprint telenav but still like to have the latest updates.

This is a pretty fantastic update. As one who prefers Sprint Nav over Google Nav, it is most appreciated.

I updated it, but when it downloads the files for first time. Keeps giving me server is down? Won't download the files...

My download went quick for me. But it was 6:00 a.m. on my way to work. Probably mo many downloading at that time.

I used the Sprint/Telenav a lot on my Treo 800 and touch pro, but really prefer google maps navigation over it once I got the Evo. I'll try out the update and see what I think. The only reason I'd consider a different navigation system would be for one with all the maps installed on the SD card so I didn't have to worry about a data connection to use it (like my old TomTom one I used to use with my Treo 700p).
