Sprint Nexus 5

I live in San Francisco, and I've called the stores and walked in. I ordered my sim on International Chat.

Try a different store further away from your local ones. Also, if it's corporate, better.

I hope I don't have this problem when my Nexus arrives...

I wonder how come my current S3 can do 3G and voice at the same time.... If its Hardware, then why phones two years newer can't?

Because it was a different series of Qualcomm SoC that could do that, but for some reason Qualcomm changed it.

It should be able to do voice and LTE simultaneously. 3g works on the CDMA network and wouldn't be able to handle voice and data at the same time. I don't yet have my nexus but I have spent a fair amount of time working with these technologies.

My understanding is none of the current Sprint tri-band enabled phones for LTE can do SVDO or SVLTE

I hope it's different since now Sprint has to issue a SIM card for data to work...

I have seen posts on a half dozen sites where Sprint customers with Nexus 5 devices have confirmed that SVDO & SVLTE will not work.

It is incredible. Truly content with it. The fastest phone I have owned and I was a recent owner of the Note 3. Love the look and the feel. The new OS is pretty good too.

I'm using Google voice for voice mail as well. For anyone having problems locating a sim card, give Sprint a call and they'll send you one.

I'm in California and the local corporate store had one for me.

I've known this.... As I've ran speed test via sensorly and it shows what I'm connected to. All Sprint phone say 3G regardless of speeds. Now, on LTE it's a different story.

i had the 1xRTT pop up on my phone while Sprint was trying to activate it in the store a few times, they said it was the minimum signal.

i was with Sprint since 2008 but i just switched to AT&T GoPhone with my BYOD Nexus 5. Sprint was a good value but now AT&T is so much better. you guys don't know what you're missing! speed and coverage are so much better with AT&T. and the beauty is that AT&T is $10/month cheaper for me.
