Going to switch from AT&T to either Sprint or T-Mobile. I'm wanting to know which one is the best of the two. I'm leaning towards T-Mobile cuz I can use my 6 plus on their network. Sprint is cheaper but not by much. I would love to hear everyone's opinions and help me make my decision.

before you jump to a carrier. I say do you research on cell reception for both carriers where you live and on places you visit frequent. For example- Pre-iphone era, verizon cell service was impeccable EVERYWHERE and ATT sucked (in terms of cell reception). Now att has gotten much better and verizon is getting more spotty.

I also feel like both carriers are desperate in maintaining subscribers (especially sprint) and will only get better over the long term.

I've checked the coverage maps for both. I've talked to Family and friends about both network's.

Sprint is great in my area, I know several people on T-Mobile who have trouble with texts, not receiving &/or theirs not sending.

You mentioned that you talked to friends & family, what did they say?

So there you go, you can't beat a recommendation from someone who lives or works where you do. If their service is good, yours most likely will be too.

I'm in Chicago and put up with Sprint for 8 years. Despite all their network improvements, it was very undependable...and I was only a few blocks away from a tower. I switched to T-Mobile in October and couldn't be happier. Service is consistently great, no contract, excellent costs, and great customer service. So, if you get excellent service from TMO in your area, I highly recommend them.

Thanks I appreciate it

I used the about a month and been very happy. I get signal almost everywhere i go. I would pick up a simm card and buy a pre pay caed and use it a month or so. I also used a Sprint pre pay for a few days but call sound was not that good.

This is where T-Mobile test drive comes into play... Test the network for up to 7 days. If their network works for your needs, then I highly recommend T-Mobile over sprint.

If tmo has better service in your area then Sprint and you don't leave the area. GO with TMO, but if Sprint has decent coverage and upgrades coming. Go with Sprint. Also Guy in Chicago Who had Sprint: It actually is no longer like that, Chicago's service is actually better than TMO

I just switched seven lines from Sprint to T-Mobile and so far so good. A word on Sprint... They never ever ever do what they say they are gonna do over the phone.
