When I try to turn on my calling plus feature it says "Cant turn on Wifi-Calling Service"

Am I missing something here? I tried turning off my wifi? someone help!

ALSO, what other new features has anyone noticed in addtition to RCS in messaging? Can we send gifs now too?

I have an S8, applied the update. RCS messaging and VoLTE. I tested the VoLTE and it works. Made a few calls, used the browser, email, social media, all while on call.

I believe that CDMA phones now have only 1 antenna for both voice & data.

This had to have happened around the time of the S5, as my S4 could do both (if I remember correctly). This thread (even though it's a Verizon forum) has a discussion on it:

I cleared cache in bootloader and also updated the PRL and Profile and it still won't turn on. I turned off wifi and tried with it on.

Any suggestions? A factory reset is not happening lol.

I only have one gripe:

Why does VoLTE have to be a "feature"

Why could it not have been just incorporated into the "normal"?

Now, it's a separate function that has it's own symbol and everything, something that can be turned off and on.

Shouldn't it be something that is "naturally" on? Without our interjection?

It is normal for most carriers (has been for a little while). Sprint was late to the game so for now it is a "feature" on the S8. I am pretty sure with them launching this we can safely say that Sprint will start including it on upcoming phones.

Also with other carriers you can turn it on/off. They don't want to force VoLTE unless the network is 100% LTE with no backdrops.

If Sprint help you out and fix your phone, why wouldn't you be a pal and put that information on here so that it might help somebody else. Always love it when people come on to a forum just to write I called the carrier and they fixed me. You might as well be saying screw everybody else.

OK.. I called said wifi calling not working they sent me to technical support.. They said it's now called calling plus, they reset something on they end. My phone profile updated and now I can turn it on

What does RCS in messaging do? I'm not noticing anything new except that I had to register.

I've noticed poor call quality every since the update . had to turn it off . calls started sounding robotic .
