Congress has nothing to do with the pause. It is the FCC committee that has ordered the pause to allow them time to read all the documents in order to come up with recommendation on whether the merger should or should not be approved.Merger talks are paused to give Congress a chance to catch up on what both sides plans are.
I had Sprint many years ago. I would never even consider going backSprint is a sinking ship fast. If they don't merge, it's over. I have purchased my last devices from them.

I left sprint today for Verizon and I'll be returning to sprint when and if the merger is approved in 2 years
Wow shocked to see that. You used to be such an advocate for them.

Actually I'll still be an advocate for the merger, I'll be back in 2 years or less
I'm sad though, their lte doesn't reach me in my house
They're still crap in my area (mostly) years later. Parents are still on them since they only need calls mainly and they're fine for that but normally they get 1 to 3 Mbps speed wise. It can be painful. I will admit a few places have gotten better though.
Ask for a magic box
They have WiFi so that's fine. I'm not super fond of having to get additional equipment to make a carrier work. One day I'll get them to swap to Verizon.
