Sprint, T-Mobile set to announce a $26 billion merger, sources say.

I find it interesting that none of these articles never address the two questions everyone has: What does this mean for current Sprint subscribers? What does this mean for current T-Mobile subscribers?

This will be interesting! They'll have a ton of spectrum now.

Merger talks are paused to give Congress a chance to catch up on what both sides plans are.
Congress has nothing to do with the pause. It is the FCC committee that has ordered the pause to allow them time to read all the documents in order to come up with recommendation on whether the merger should or should not be approved.

Sprint is a sinking ship fast. If they don't merge, it's over. I have purchased my last devices from them.

I'm sad though, their lte doesn't reach me in my house

They're still crap in my area (mostly) years later. Parents are still on them since they only need calls mainly and they're fine for that but normally they get 1 to 3 Mbps speed wise. It can be painful. I will admit a few places have gotten better though.
