Sprint text sending failing

Since Thursday I have not been able to send text.
Is sprint text down in Charlotte?
I did update to 2.2 but have not had problems til Thursday.

I think it's on Sprint's side. They are upgrading equipment. Other non Epic phones are also having problems. Search over at the Sprint Community forums. Try restarting your phone, it should then send your text.

same here ... After flashing a rom or updating to froyo .. once it reboots u need to reboot again for text to work...

Was having this issue briefly when I first updated to EB13. Went away after doing hard reset and reformatting microsd card. I found that going into airplane mode to cut all radios off and then turning airplane mode off also made the text go through without a reboot.

Sometimes when sending a text, it says "sending" for a while, what I do is call voicemail and the text has been sent. Inside my house I get poor signal so thats what I do to "push/pull" texts.

This is a bug which I'm not sure has officially been reported. With the new EB13 FROYO when you go into task manager then ram manager and do a level 2 ram clear, it shuts down a critical SMS process that I've found won't correct itself until reboot. I'll try the airplane toggle to see if that works but I thought I had tried that already.

Anybody know how to officially report this as a bug? I know of several people who can confirm this as an actual bug.

I had the same issue on thursday, updated my prl and the problem is solved. give it a shot.

I think the official word was that due to CIAA basketball tournament in Charlotte over the weekend caused a major cell line traffic jam.

I might as well not use my phone during the Democratic National Convention.
