Unless you pay for the specific data they provide, and I feel that's questionable, you will be flamed. They seem to get pleasure out of it.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread aka Sprint Spark

she isn't on spark. spark was designed to use fast switch back or whatever it is called. you won't notice it unless you get a text or are getting a call while using a live connection like tethering or playing an online game. Again this is only on spark, because they were lazy/on a time crunch and made it that way. At least that is what S4GR explained.

Spark is being on the Tri-bands, she's only on 1 of the three bands (1900) and she is able to have voice over LTE because the phone was designed to allow it. Its the phones, not the actual network. I'm sure in the future, they will change that with new antennas that will allow it just like they did before.

your wrong go read about how they designed triband and how the fast switch technology works...forget what it is called. the old system didn't have the issue because how it was designed. It is the whole spark system. can't be fixed without scrapping the entire thing according to S4GRU and i trust them over you. they have a better reputation on knowing what they are talking about. So again phones are not the issue it is the network...google it. Otherwise post a reputable reference. I already gave you a reputable source to go and fact check.

You seem mad? Lol.
If my wife's S3 didn't have the dedicated extra antenna, she wouldn't be able to do it either lol.
What you're talking about is the handoff between 3G and LTE, and back to it.

It used to be a fee to access the maps and data on the site. Just looked and it doesn't look like it anymore. I won't go to a site that bullies and insults people in the forums, good data or not.

Yea it seems some of the moderators are talking down to people there the last couple of days. Expecially in a thread about Sprints new throttling policy.

Yep, s3 was awesome in that regard.
They could have added that extra SVDO antenna, but Sammy wanted to save a few dollars

Yes those guy's that run and moderate S4gru are a bunch a frauds with very fragile ego's who
talk very condescending to their
members especially, When they assume a member is in their mind
wrong in their opinions.
They ask for monetary donations so you can
Access so called sponsored forums. If you voice that
You have issues with sprint, they automatically take it as a complaint
And warn you that they will ban you.
Which they did to me because I was voicing my displeasure about Sprint's Super slow data speeds and coverage in Hawaii not to mention
The slow network vision roll out.
Honolulu still hasn't gotten lte. While the other big 3 does.

It's good to see I'm not alone in my thoughts for S4GRU.

Re: Official Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread aka Sprint Spark

I had a horrible experience with the HTC one m8. Switching from the two band S3 to the HTC. Where I had 4g barely went to 3g. Where I had 3g went to nothing. From having data 70% of the time. To 5%-8% of the time. Example. Before I could run square for a credit card charge with out any problems. With the HTC, I would wait 10-15 minutes waiting for a connection. Or drive 10-20 blocks. I'm not kidding. For business it was a disaster. Coverage with Sprint here in San Diego is not great. The in store customer rep. charged me a $35 restocking fee for returning the phone. For a phone that tests ok. But will not work properly here in San Diego. Of course the rep said that his HTC works fine. I'm guessing that it is a problem with tri band phones where spark is not implemented yet. My S3 is working great. After 20 years with them I think I'm done. Charging a restock fee due to incapatable phone to service. It is a company clueless about marketing or care. Service comes in many forms in this business. None of it was present when I was returning the phone in San Diego. If Soft Bank cares about Sprints shrinkage problem. They could start here. Sorry for the rant I think they know about this problem. But they are stuck in the " getting better" mode. With customer reps(in the store or on the phone) without any good training. Again sorry

everyone charges this (version/AT&T).....or you have to buy the whole phone...what are you going to do when you find out tmobile sucks and you spent 600 dollars on a phone?

That's a valid point. However, I'm back on the two band S3. And it's doing much better in reception. I've recently tried both Verizon and t-mobile. Both work very well in my area. And regarding the restocking fee would be understandable if I just wanted to try the phone or didn't like the phone. Then the restocking fee would be completely normal. However, when the phone worked improperly due to the city not being up to date. And this is different when they were selling HTC evo-4g with wimax in non wimax cites. That phone still worked well in 3g. This is not the case in this situation. It had major reception problems. Sprint is very aware of this problem . This is why the restock fee is not smart business. I don't care anymore. It's only $35. It's just not smart on their behalf.

Here's your Tri band issue on Non Spark network.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...6M4MV5raD7rvca8bg&sig2=CkKBp1bIEXGUJTfy_7IiOA
it's called CSFB.... And Sprint Aint gonna tell you about it.

Also I read where csfb switch fails more often switching from a higher band like Sprints 2600 mhz LTE to 800 mhz voice, Sprints lower voice frequency and there is not a permanent fix. In other words driving down the highway your phone might "crash" to 3G while swiching towers and frequencies and stay there until you toggle airplane mode or reboot.
