I played with the feature selector on sprint.com and when you select "TV" it doesn't include the GNex. While I doubt anyone has one in their hands, has anyone heard if this phone will have this wonderful app?

although it should be considered bloatware, this is by far and away the most useful app on the phone. I watched nearly every single world cup game on it when i was away from my TV.

I was under the impression that you could install any Sprint app onto the GNex by simply selecting them from the PLAY store. Seeing as I haven't had an android before today I honestly don't know if that's true or not, but it's what I've read here on the forums...

Am I missing something? I just went to the play store on my new shiny, clicked the sprint icon and sprint tv was on there. Of course, I didn't try downloading or installing it (since I probably wouldn't use it) but I assume it would download and install fine.

I hope it works because now that it finally works on Wifi i will use it to watch ESPN events or ESPNews since i don't have cable anymore. I just have to wait until June 1st since thats the earliest i can get my upgrade :(

Well I went to the store to play around with it today and found and installed sprint tv from the play store. When i ran the app it said it was not compatible with the device. Does this mean no sprint tv? This could be a deal breaker for me as I really was looking forward to wifi espn while on campus. I was set to pick this over the LTEvo but this could be what makes my mind up.

Google devices don't get carrier apps. That's why people get them..they aren't allowed to install bloatware. I know when I had the ns4g I found the apk from an evo but only got the free channels and not the premier or xtra that was included with the plan. I'm sure someonewill figure out a way to get the file from another device before too long. as long as you keep your flash updated you can go to the browser and watch abc, cbs, nbc, fox, etc. I install adobe air also just because it seems to stream better in my opinion. And the shows aren't broke up into chapters, can watch all the way thru. My phone stands better than my computer to be honest.

Does chrome not play well with flash videos? I keep flash updated but chrome keeps showing to update flash.

Try using dolphin hd browser for flash. Firefox is way slow..too bad cuz I like it. I just use the stock Android browser mainly. I have the chrome just so I can sync bookmarks and stuff.. If have issues with the stock one, request desktop in the menu. If don't like it, give dolphin a try. It's really an excellent browser. While your at it, grab avast if you're rooted. Has sweet anti theft protection and is free.

Avast still good even if don't have root. Just can make it hard reset proof and will lock all access to settings even developer mode and stuff for remote management if lost/stolen with root access. Always hear of people losing phones and they're expensive even with insurance.

I miss the FM Radio app actually.

Like said, I'm sure it won't be long before one of the mods/devs figure something out. Hours love those guys for making our lives easier. I found an apk earlier but now sprint has the id packs or whatever so the one with wifi wouldn't work. I wonder if i have the apk from my ns4g still and if it would work..? I know it came from an evo 4g. Didn't have wifi access tho. Looks like it's time to hit up google!
