Does anyone know if the Sprint EVO 4G LTE or any other Sprint phones are (1) Capable and (2) rolling out with CMAS enabled?

Here is a link to Sprint that tells you what it is, but gives no other information on it. Commercial Mobile Alert System on Sprint site

My understanding is that there are 3 types of alerts and they are based and sent on cell phone current location:
1) Presidential Alert (Cannot be turned off)
2) Amber Alerts
3) Weather Emergency Alerts

Thanks,
Slack

Yes, the EVO LTE supports all of this. In the messaging app, under settings there is a page for Emergency Settings, and Presidential, Extreme, Severe, and Amber alerts are enabled by default. There is also an option to test the emergency alert system.

Most people probably aren't aware of this, but I stumbled upon it yesterday.

Enable test and see what happens. LOL
I found this on a leaked version of 4.0.4 for my old Epic Touch.
Im at my office working and all of a sudden my phone scared the crap out of me. The Emergency Test Tone came on and i have never heard it before. They sent out a Test Alert.
I enabled Test alert on my device. Now just waiting to see how loud the EVO LTE is when the test message comes in.. When ever that will be.

Wow! Lol, that is definitely something to look forward to. Crapping yourself at work? Haha

LOL damn near did. I was definately startled.
Part of it was me in a quiet office working at my computer.
Part of it was the loud speaker on the Epic Touch.
Part of it was the alert tone.
Added up to be quite funny when it was over.
