Sprint's LG G2: Official KitKat info - Candy coated goodness.

Re: Sprint's LG G2: Official KitKat info - The Rumors, Conjecture and Hearsay thread.

Maybe some Key Lime Pie instead. Hahaha.

EDIT: As much as I want KitKat, I am concerned about installing the update when it gets pushed because of all the problems with MMS AT&T and T-Mobile are having. AT&T saying it's a software issue with no fix, and is now replacing G2 phones with users choice of an s4 or an iPhone... I hope that doesn't befall the Sprint variant, I might cry lol.

At this rate I'll take a Motorola Flip Phone with retractable antenna.

Re: Sprint's LG G2: Official KitKat info - The Rumors, Conjecture and Hearsay thread.

FYI: I read an article that AT&T had issued or is in the process of issuing a patch for for the MMS problems.

I just hope that come Monday when we start to receive the all mighty kit Kat ota that we do not have those issues. Maybe at&t should have taken some more time testing instead of trying to be the first carrier to send it out. As long as we get a stable build it will have been worth the wait.

I haven't heard of that bug. Got a link about it?

The only information that I have found on it is from the Android Central forums designated for T-Mobile and AT&T. There's a few threads talking about the issue. One of the posters was talking about being upset and that was how AT&T was handling the issue, since replacing the phones didn't work.

Granted, I don't exactly know how true it is. I thought it was worth mentioning though just so you guys are aware that it could be an issue.

From what was said, you can manually set apn on T-Mobile's version to fix it, but that isn't an option on AT&T, that's supposedly why they're being replaced with different phones.

Give me a few and I'll fetch the link to those threads or a couple of screens.

Well

SprintCare finally responded to one of the new KitKat threads on the Sprint Community and said that the update is not available. I asked the question why are we being told that it is? Expecting a BS reply from them.

Do not think for one minute that they are going to give you a straight answer I was told 3 weeks ago by sprint that we would start getting the update in a week well you can see how true that was. All we can do is wait I honestly believe we will see it in about a week or two.

Oh, I know. I just enjoy screwing with them. It's so easy when they every rep gives you a different answer.

I know it has become comical it is like a episode of jerry springer. Maybe start charging admission. I just wish they would just be honest and say we don't know so stop calling. I can live with that. But believe me when we get it we will be happy and realize it was worth the wait.

It is highly unlikely, sprint tests it once lg releases it to sprint to ensure it is functioning properly.

Looks like Verizon beat us, you can send a text to manually push the update and there is a flashable zip on XDA, but no OTA yet. How did that happen?

Where did you find this "text to manually push" info?

GSM phones sms and mms differently than CDMA phones. I wouldn't worry too much.

That moment you try to update, instead of instantly updating the 'last checked time' it hangs up for a few seconds... Anticipation and excitement build and...... Your system is up to date. I'm officially sad now. Lol

Okay, so I'm confused... LG's software version was ZVC, why has Sprint listed ZVB?
