Re: Sprint's LG G2: Tri-Band LTE aka SPRINT SPARK-Update released.

Southeast Louisiana here. I noticed LTE problems first last year, then again after the Kit Kat update I did a little over a week ago. I get basically no LTE now. Truth be told, they did send out some email saying they'd be working on a tower close by, but damn, there are 4 more less than a mile away. What's up with that? Also, I'm inclined to try the band priority thing now, but I can't find a way to do it. The ##3282## deal doesn't work anymore. Or, it doesn't work on my G2. Any ideas?

edit: Correction. It works, but my service is still crap.

I have the same problem. Full bars - No bars - Full bars - No data - 3G - No bars - LTE. I constantly get the red x by the signal bars. I live in NJ right outside of Philly. The coverage map says I should have Spark Best. I only get 3G. Go figue.

Where are you located? I travel all around the Midwest and have never experienced what you say you have. My phone seamlessly transitions between LTE and 3G as well as between the multiple LTE bands where Spark is enabled.

It could also just be a bad device, what have you done to try to alleviate the symptoms you describe?

Sent from my LG-LS980 using AC Forums mobile app

I plan on taking the phone back to Sprint this weekend and just telling them that the phone is 'broken', please replace it. As the guy from NJ said, "Full bars - No bars - Full bars - No data - 3G - No bars" is an every day occurrence with this phone and it sounds like it shouldn't be (forum posts). It doesn't matter where I'm at or whether or not I'm stationary or moving. In my area (Murphy, TX), I should be connecting to all three bands seamlessly. For as far as we've come with cell phone technology, nobody should have to put up with 'connection / no data connection'. As I've said before, technology 10+ years ago was better than this.

Re: Sprint's LG G2: Tri-Band LTE aka SPRINT SPARK-Update released.

I just got an LG G2 and got it activated on Sprint 2 days ago.

I have the same issue. I actually don't even get a good 3G connection. I get almost down to 0 on DL/UL off speedtest. My calls are sketchy and I have already dropped a couple of those calls.

They said they are working on the network issues. They should have set it up to disable Spark capability on this phone so that you could get regular LTE until the issue was resolved. Typical growing pains.

I just wonder if the whole Sprint network won't just collapse. I have no LTE. Thirty miles away they have LTE, but it is less than half the speed of Verizon. That's the best they can do. Sprint is hemorrhaging customers.

I'm getting really sick of Sprint. They keep releasing these wonderful upgrades but only in large cities. It's very frustrating. I live outside a relatively large city of over 500,000 but I get bupkus. I sitll have to have an airave in my home or I can't make a phone call. And when I had my HTC phone I got 4G now I'm on CDMA only. I'm just really sick of Sprint's network promises not delivering.
