Square pics using front display

This is driving me nuts!! Can't figure out how to change it.

Using the front display to take a selfie with camera closed... the pics come out square, or possibly 4:3

Any idea how to change that setting?

Leaving for 2 week trip to Italy in about a week and part of the appeal of the Flip3 was being able to pull it out of a pocket and snap a selfie of my wife and I and put it back in my pocket. Without having to open the phone.

Square(1:1) pics certainly aren't what I had in mind for beautiful scenic pics of Italy...
