Static IP USB C port

[Android Central Question]

I am trying to set a static IP but can only find settings for wifi. I am using a USB C to ethernet adapter. I know the adapter works as I have connected to my router with it. How do turn off DHCP and set a static IP for it?

Check the settings on the router/modem.
The DHCP service on the router may allow you to set a static IP address for your phone (and other devices).
