I have been trying to flash IMM76K on my Nexus since yesterday afternoon, I am stock rooted and unlocked running Rom manager. I am constantly getting a Status 7 installation aborted error. I have tried rerooting the phone, reinstalling CWM recovery, superuser all that and nothing seems to fix this issue. Any help would be appreciated, or even some pointing in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Here's what I suggest--using a toolkit (Wug's, GNex found on XDA, etc.) and taking it COMPLETELY back to stock. Then unlock and root, and install the LATEST CWM recovery--the touch one.

Status 7 is usually a recovery error. You should also download the file again, make sure you rename it, and follow my guide precisely.

Some users have reported this error, and eventually most were able to cure it. The possible explanations--recovery, corrupted update file, etc.

I also suggest going into the zip archive and DELETING the recovery folder. That way there is NOTHING to conflict with CWM. Rezip it with NO COMPRESSION so it remains flashable. Rename that zip update.zip.

what version of clockwork do you have flashed?

what method of installation are you trying to update with?

did you rename the update "update.zip"?

Ill give that a shot. Thanks for the suggestions, btw read your guide and it was great. I feel like such a n00b but I was doing all this with my incredible without any issues. Seems like recovery might be borked on my phone since everytime I try to go into recovery I have to first reflash it through Rom Manager.

That could be. You may need to push it or boot it temporarily. I can't recommend deleting the recovery folder enough--it means that if you're able to flash 5.8.0.2 (the LATEST CWM touch recovery, and IMO, the best of the CWM recoveries), it'll stick and there will be absolutely no recovery conflicts.
