Is the online site still the only place to get a new Nexus One? I thought the online store was being phased out? If so, where will Nexus Ones be sold?

Still the only place you can buy it is on-line.

They won't phase out the store till they get it being sold thru other locations, and, maybe not even then. (They may well find that people will shop elsewhere, and once the see how find the device is they may decide to buy on-line and avoid lock-ins).

Bought mine online Monday and Arrived on Tuesday. Now I have to sell my unlocked HTC Hero Telus version to help pay for the Nexus.

It probably won't be sold in stores at all.
I believe that what their plan is is to launch future phones in conjunction with the carriers (so the usual ways you get phones through carriers), but to use google.com/phone as a reference point for what Android phones on each given carrier are the phones that Google has had a hand in.

I don't see online going away any time soon. Google has had it's roots online since forever. Like how carriers allow you to buy phones both in stores and only, I'll bet that Google will allow the same. I actually hope to see more Google sponsered phones in the future, offered both online and in stores.
