Hi, sorry if there is a post about this. i tried searching for it but nothing is recent. Is there still problems trying to receive Yahoo mail on the hero?? Because i still cant get my email setup. I hope someone can help! thank you!!

BTW i have a ymail account so mine looks like Emailname@ymail.com if that has to do with anything.

its probably because you have to pay to get it on 3rd party software. If you pay, then I honestly don't know what the problem is, if you don't, then that is most likely the problem. Yahoo is free to use on the browser, but not on 3rd party software like phones or Mail (apple) or outlook (PC).
What you could do is have it forwarded to your Gmail and get it that way for free (I believe). I don't know how to forward it as I find no need with my accounts, but if you search for that, you should find something.

Even to have it forwarded to your gmail costs. I had to do it. I haven't tried to just set up my yahoo manually though.

You just have to change the settings on your phone. I get mine with no problem.

Incoming settings:
Protocol: IMAP
Email address=email address
username=email address
imap server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
security type: none
Server port: 143

Outgoing Server settings:
Check the login required box
username=email address
smtp.server= smtp.mobile.mail.yahoo.com
security type: none
server port= 25

re: yahoo issues

Use MailDroid which works for yahoo, ymail, and rocketmail...even over wifi. You can get it over at: slideme.org/application/maildroid
