STILL NO UPDATE!!!!!!! help!!?

Still cant inslall! Tried 4g, 3g, 1x. Is it possible that it hasnt gotten to me or more likely a hangup in my download/install process? Am I the only one who has tried everything, still with no love?

Try pulling the battery and SIM card then hold the power button down for 20 seconds then reinstall everything. You can also call Verizon they can sometimes push it to you by refreshing the phone in there system.

Thanks for the good ideas.

Already tried batt pull, but not with power button hold. Cant mess with it right now, but will try later. Although, maybe I should just leave it alone, given the side effects of the update!

I did the fuller reset. Still no dice. Guess I'll have to call Verizon...hmmm. I wonder if they suspended the updates roll-out after all the problems started. Anyone think thats plausible?

OTA Update Sucks!!

Count yourself fortunate, if I had it to do all over again, I would wait, my phone keeps rebooting/shutting down and no positives have been found since the update.

Thank you for posting the link to your apps list Chrisy!

My Thunderbolt has worked perfectly since the update! I had intended to return it before the 14-day trial expired, but will keep it now.

Sorry to hear that others are having problems.

Glad you decided to keep it. It's a great device, just a poor update. It will be fixed.

I have full bars in a 4G LTE

what gives?!?!?!??!?!?!??!

This was happening on my GFs phone as well. My phone personally downloaded the update just fine over 4G. Hers had the same problem as you. I turned off 4G and checked for updates again with full bars of 3G. Now she has the update! (This is as of this morning!)

Here is what I did on our two Thunderbolts:

1. Download the LTE OnOff application from the app store.
2. Launch LTE OnOff app and set the mode to "CDMA only". This will put the phone in 1x. Make a note of the default selection.
3. Check for updates now. You should be able to download the update.
4. After download completes, go back to the LTE OnOff app and put back to original cdma/LTE selection.
5. Once your back to 3G or 4G, check for updates and you should see the option to install the update!

Do this at your own risk, but it worked for me. Enjoy!

I had to do this YET AGAIN for this update. Is there a reason why? I feel this is unacceptable.

Its a issue on Verizon end. If u find it to be a device issue take it to Verizon and get it replaced

I had the same problem for the first couple days after it was released. Called Verizon and the rep had me do a battery pull. 1st try after doing this it loaded with no problems. Forgive me for not reading earlier in the post to see if you have tried this. Since the update, I have had no restarts and GPS seems to lock sooner. Hopefully you can get it soon.
