Android Central Question

I purchased a Galaxy note 8 from Verizon years ago. After being with Verizon for a year I switched to TMobile to save some money and I brought my Verizon note 8 with me. I used the note 8 on TMobile for another year then I switched back to Verizon and got the pixel 4xl. I sold my old note 8 to a friend who was using straight talk as his carrier. The TMobile boot screen still pops up and he still get messages from T-Mobile and he doesn't have data when he is talking on the phone. Is there a way to fix this? The phone is unlocked and paid off. TMobile says they don't know how to get their stuff off the phone. Also I feel like they are messing with my data. I can't receive pictures unless connected to WiFi Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, already tried "adb reboot bootloader" flies right through and boots up normal.
All searches have been how to use fastboot on Samsung phones to enable oem unlock.
Followed instructions to a tee.
Just can't get oem unlock to show in Developer Settings.
Thanks.
No need to try unlock bootloader , your phone screen needs to be in download mode to flash through odin , Adb command are for different purposes .

On samsung you don't need to unlock your bootloader.
US devices U, U1, W don't have bootloader unlock option developer menu.
Download mode is samsung's version of fastboot mode.

Check Settings and others, have Software update, don't see download mode.
I have G996U, wanted unlocked version G996U1.
On chat with Samsung tech, says even if I flash with unlocked firmware,
it doesn't remove original carrier boot logo.
Thanks

That seems to be my problem, been there more than once, odin gave error.
Likely that I have nothing showing past a DID number.
All those yellow instructions beside the downloading arrow are missing.

Im not sure what you mean by yellow instructions or downloading arrow?

1. Most samsung devices don't have fastboot commands.
2. Samsung US devices don't have unlockable bootloader and is not needed to flash firmware.
3. You will need to enter download mode via button configuiration
or if in android system using

adb reboot bootloader.

Then you can use odin to flash firmware.
The correct command is:

adb reboot download

In your pic there is an icon with arrow in the center.
To the left is a lot options, don't show on mine.
Only a 6 items showing at top.
Can't even scroll down.
If Odin fails when attempting to flash, then we need to know what error message appears on the phone screen at that moment. It should be in red text

Holding side keys shows a little more.
Lots missing compared to pic from mustang7757.
Only received fail with no code with this one.
Sorry, used odin.

All of the S21 models also show in Korean on the Downloading page - perfectly normal.

SHA256 error means that you need to look for the "patched" version of Odin. Just do a Google search for "patched Odin 3.14.1" - tons of links out there on XDA and other sites
Thats what was i instructed to do with prince comsey lets see if OP has followed that , and never seen Korean on my US Samsung device in download mode , strange but let see . These process is very straight forward , got see where OP making the mistakes.

Have odin 3.14.1, found updated 3.14.4

"Prince Comsey" was only around up until Odin 3.12.x I think, and I think you need 3.13.x or higher to flash an S21. The patched Odins from the past couple years show as "3B PatcheD", and work great for all models
Yeah patched is same as Prince comsey , or maybe now they eliminated name prince comsey , and agree need higher version. Ive only used that version switching from carrier version to unlocked or other way around .
