stock email app

in the stock email app can i have a yahoo and a gmail account attached to it?
i have the samsung captivate now and I cannot attach my gmail account to my stock email app

I havent been able to figure out how to set up gmail to the stock email app. I have a google account through my university so idk if this changes anything
