So I would like some ideas of how to protect my info. What are useful apps to possibly protect or retrieve my device. Some kid in my neighborhood just got them a real nice tablet. Probably won't get it back. Android device manager is OK but without WiFi or power it doesn't help much. How do I protect a replacement? How should I set up my settings?

You can use delayed lock app to immediately lock the device is wifi is lost. And you can set how many incorrect tries before wipe
