Everytime I factory reset and restore I lose about 2 GB of storage. I have almost no space left with minimal apps installed now. I have cm11 on my note 2 which I finally got this morning to work(yay), but before that I kept failing yesterday and had to factory wipe my phone several times like 3 or 4. Is wiping my phone in cwm creating giant files or something? Please help :(Screenshot_2014-01-07-03-32-17.png

Hello,

Yes CWM/TWRP recovery backups take up a good chunk of space.. I'm guessing on the Note probably around 1 gigabyte average.. Add in however much personal data (pics, media, etc.) was on the device at the time of the backup.

Plus Touchwiz isn't a lean mean machine either, its a hog and gobbles up its fair share of space so its one of the main reason for the backup files being so large.

Best thing to do is delete older backup's so you get some of that space back...

Good deal... Yeah those backups can eat up some space.. I only keep one backup.

Nandroid backups can be upwards of 1.25 GB. Depending on the ROM you are backing up and personal and cached info on it.
