storage problem

I m having a samsung galaxy tab 2 nd it have storage problem. Apps stored are only 1.5 gb but it shows that memory space is running out.
In storage option total storage occupied is 1.5gb and availabe is shown 206mb. All useless apps I have deleated but the result is same.
Please give some solution to this problem as it is not allowing me to install other apps

I am assuming you are looking at settings-> storage, which
also shows storage taken by videos etc which may be taking space. One other option is to go to settings-> Application Manager and click on an app that you think may be taking quite a bit of data space. There will be Storage section detailing space taken by the app and it's data as well. There is also a button Move to SD Card. That may
help.

I would connect it to you computer and look around with windows explorer. Easier than brousing around on the tab! See if some app or other file is taking a lot of your space. Transfer any movies, photos or music files to the external sd card. Some games use a lot of memory with data files.

If you have done any kind of BACKUP than could be taking up a lot of space. Backup to the external sd card and erase the old files.

Do a search here for SD card and find a lot of info about memory management!

You should have about 4 GB of memory for apps and files in the internal memory. Try a RESTART and if all else fails do a HARD RESET. You will have to reload your apps and settings after the HARD RESET but it may be the only way.
