Strange Battery Problem - Need Help

thanks for this info ive been looking for days as having the same problem with phone i just took my battery out & its spinning like a top im going to go & replace battery hope it works

I also have the same problem on my LG Ally. I downloaded this root app for xposed frameworks so it never shuts down intull the phone has nothing left in it. So it does not shut down at 1% it shuts down when there is nothing left. It's the best app I have had on my LG Ally!

This has happened to me once with my HTC Wildfire so I simply bought another battery for my phone - this actually helps.

Hello guys. I'm experiencing this same issue since this morning. I found my phone turned off in my pocket, but didn't pay too much attention to it. Later, I was Skyping via 3G for about half hour and suddenly audio started to fade, and when I checked my phone, signal whas showing the simbol Ø. After rebooting foud out that battery was dying, so connected just to say goodbye and went to lunch.
After lunchtime, looked at my phone and realized that battery has been misteriously recharging. Plugged my phone at the office, and rebooted a couple of times. Below you will see the charging timeline, after removing and reinserting the battery, level seems to increase (see last bit)

What's courious is that battery level seems to drop a little after booting the phone. After reading this thread assumed that I need to replace my battery (got my phone a little over one year ago), even if it doesn't "spin" when in the table, and both sides are completely flat, but I think it was interesting to show this to you guys.

For the last two months my battery has been taking a little too much, because signal here is really low, and I need to keep my phone plugged to my office laptop all the time.

Regards,

Sebastián

I'm using a Sony Xperia Z1 and recently i'm dealing with a weird problem that has something to do with my battery..
I'd have it at 85% and when i lock the screen and leave it for say around 10 minutes, then when i unlock my phone again, it would show 45%..
And sometimes, it gets worse, from 74% it can just suddenly die off to 0%..

Another thing is that it charges very irregularly, at first it will be 20% but after just 5 minutes on the charger, it would mysteriously shoot up to 75%..

Would really like to know what's going on and how to solve this

ok i understand that battery bulge thing, thing is what if there is phone with NON-REMOVABLE battery like sony xperia then??

Re: - Need Help

My mobile switches off even at 70-80% of charging.and it doesn't switch on even when I switch it on.after plugging it to the charger it shows the same battery level as above.it switches on when after I plug it to the charger only.it switches of at 60-70% and shows 0% charge level.later it shows 40-50% of charging.it happens every day usually with no timings.when I use my mobile it switches of after some time.i got it repaired the man said it was a software problem.he had done it.even though it is as usual.later he said it was memory card problem and also said to format it and use.ive done the same.but no use.can I get any help.

Welcome to Android Central! This is a really old thread in the S II Epic 4G Touch forum (man, those old names were just horrible :'( ), so you might want to create a new thread with your question, preferably in the subforum for your particular phone (if available).

Offhand, I'd suspect a problem with the battery. Did you also replace that?
