I am using an AT&T unlocked s6 edge plus.
A strange white and transparent box often appears at the bottom center of screen just above the home button. It is not responsive. I tried to move it touch it but nothing happens. Neither it causes any issues except for when I watch a video the box shows up covering half of the play button. This is really annoying because it interferes when I try to play or pause the video. It just randomly appears and disappears. I've posted a screenshot.

Hmmm....that's wired. Did you download any apps right before that appeared?

I dont remember it appearing after installing any specific app. I guess it appeared from the day I got the phone. Btw I did not buy a new phone. I bought a used one. Everything works perfect except this thing annoys me some times specially when watching videos. Other than that everything is fine.

I really hate suggesting this cause I hate doing it lol but if you got your stuff backed up, have you tried doing a factory reset on it?

So I guess this is the last thing to do.

I would try safe mode first. If its gone then its caused by an app and you can hunt that down. Might be tough as the phone was used, but doable. But, the phone should have been factory reset before you bought it.

No brother. But I've been thinking of doing it. Can't figure out anything else. So I guess this is the last thing to do.
Welcome to the forums. I agree with PJRed2008, try safe mode first. If that overlay doesn't show up on safe mode there's a couple of things you could try to find out which app is the culprit. Let us know how it goes.

Looks like one, but OP said it was unresponsive to anything.
Yeah, who knows. It could be a glitch in the system or some third party app with a broken feature, hence the safe mode.

If an app, checking out the running services and apps with the 'draw over other apps' permission enabled should give us some clues.

Ah I don't know why I didn't think of safe mode. My bad
