Strange line on screen

I've got my new Nexus 4 for a few weeks, everything was fine until I found that my bluetooth doesn't work that well as many users have experienced. Another odd is found today when I was scrolling on my screen and noticed that there is a strange line on the left side of the screen next to + and - signs (the attached picture may display it at the bottom of the picture). It's clearer if the background is bright. I wonder what that could be...It's new and I have taken care of it quite nicely, never falls, never get wet. I'm thinking to call Google Play customer service tomorrow and ask for replacement. Any suggestions?

I had to look really hard to see what you're talking about. I'm assuming you've already tried another wallpaper and/or confirmed it's actually the screen? If it is, yeah RMA it. Seems most everyone (of the unfortunate minority) has had a pleasant experience with Google replacing their device.

P.S. Ditch the stock screen cover. I suppose it works as a protector but I doubt that was its intention:) That said, I still have the one on the back...

My eyes are hurting from trying to find what you are talking about :-$ Are you sure the line is not from the protective film?

I would remove the shipping plastic (with the plus minus signs on it) and see if it goes away.

Does the screen look better without the plastic cover on it..had mine since It came with my n4 back on November

First of all, how have you managed to do that? Second, yes. It looks better and feels way better.

My "screen protector" only stayed on a day or two before it got annoying and I had to remove it. The glass on the display seems to be very scratch resistant. I don't have any sort of scratch or swirl mark on my display.

I have got the same issue guys, exactly in the same spot (near + - on the sticker). As both the thread starter have it in the same place it can't be the sticker. Any thing I need to be worried about? :(

Now that makes me think it is the socket causing it because I don't have that and of course I took my sticker off as soon as I unboxed the phone.

sent from my Nexus 4; so fresh and so clean

The "screen protector" that the phone comes with is meant to protect the screen while the phone is being shipped in it's box, not to be left on.
