Struggling to hear difference between FLAC and Google Music Bose QC35 wired

Audio differences are slighter than audiomolesters (because they will molest your wallet) make them out to be. The type of headphones makes a difference but unless you're struggling to power some big cans most people won't be able to tell a drastic difference.

I thought the dongle on the Pixel sounded like garbage and was one of two reasons I went with the V30 (the audio in video recordings was the other). I'm happy to see a manufacturer taking something like audio so seriously.

I have connected by Bose QC35 headphones with their cable to the V30 and played a few songs on Google Music side by side with the same songs I purchased from HDtracks.com in FLAC 24 bit/192KHz.

Obviously the HiFi setting is on. They both sound terrific. I can barely tell the difference. Are my ears just not that sensitive, or am I missing something? I'm using the LG Music player for the FLAC files and obviously Google Music for that music, downloaded at the highest quality it supports.
U try with a Sound magic E80c with high empedence and then u will be blown away by the difference
The Bose QC don't trigger the high impedance I guess.Tje moment u see High Impedance mode is when u know the deal.Iys just killer and I tell u no one can compete with it.Period.i have a v20 and I know what I am saying.Although I am typing it from xz premium and the sq just sucks donkeys balls in this as I am used to v20.
Also headphones should be above 50 ohms to fly to go to a different galaxy.....if u know what I mean ;-)

I'm a musician & audiophile. There will be many listeners who will not be able to tell the difference. For aficionados like me, we definitely can. Before spending your cash on expensive headphones, TEST THEM FIRST TO SEE IF IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE FOR YOU. I'm using klipsch reference headphones and earbuds, and also bose qc3 headphones which are 11 years old. I can tell, and enjoy the difference with all 3.

Well, thanks again for everyone's advice. I signed up for a trial of Tidal and downloaded a bunch of songs. Then used that in my car. Bliss. Thanks again.

If you train your ears to solely lossless audio for a period of time, you'll be able to tell the differences on a consistent basis.

If you're just jumping into this world then you will be hard pressed to tell any major difference.
