Stuck at boot logo after flashing stock rom

Hi, I have a rooted Samsung Galaxy S4 i9506. Using odin, I flash the stock 5.0.1 marshmallow rom. The process goes well, but it gets stuck at the boot screen with the Samsung logo. I flashed it several times but it will always have the same result. I can boot into download mode but not into recovery mode. Also, I did not do a factory reset before flashing. Any ideas?

Edit: I made sure the rom I used was the "XSP" version (no carrier rom for Singapore).

The only way to fix this is re-flashing the factory ROM manually and erase your phone.

I see.. so i must revert to the original rom? Fortunately I kept a copy of it, Ill try that now.

It worked! Thanks so much, saved me from going to the service centre. It took a while because I had to redownload the rom. How did you know how to fix this?
