Stuck at hand free activation screen (Sprint)

Just got the (sprint) galaxy note 4 on ebay. After I turn the phone on 'preparing and configuring device for first time', next was the hand free activation which failed and lock me to that screen (no sim). I cannot proceed any further, the only options I see is 'emergency call' which let me access the dial-pad.

Anyway to remove the hand free activation lock?

If anyone has this problem, need to root and in the root folder rename a file 'SprintDM.apk' to something else so it will not run the activation.

Try holding the power button until the device turns off. Also, you may need to contact Sprint to activate the device. Just give them a call and provide them with the IMEI number to have them activate it.

Since I bought the phone off ebay I'm worried if I contact Sprint, they'll pull off some shenanigans to confiscate the phone.
