Stuck in Clockwork

I just tried to flash a new ROM today using ROM Manager, I downloaded it this afternoon. Now my phone is bricked, I guess. It will not exit out of ClockworkMod Recovery. If I choose an option in CMR, the screen goes blank and does not come back until I press the home key. It will not let me do anything!! Yikes!! Even if I select Wipe Data/Factory Reset, it doesn't do anything. Can someone help me out? I have a Samsung Epic with the root Froyo update released a few weeks ago....

have you tried to hold power,volume up,camera to see if it would reboot?

my phone did this once while using rom manager to install a rom and when i clicked those 3 bottons at the same time it rebooted.

also maybe just try to install .zip from sd card in CWM and choose the .zip of the rom u downloaded and just reflash it.. i had to flash srf 3 times on my sisters epic before it finally worked, make sure you wipe, wipe, wipe.

I tried volume down, camera, and power and it got stuck in CMR. I'll try volume up and see. Thanks!!!

***ok, that was weird!!! I just powered up as normal and it works just fine!!!!!

hmm? what screen are you seeing in CWM

Try to hit the volume up camera power and as soon as it goes black move your finger to volume down and hold it and maybe clockworkmod will start up as usual
if it does then reflash the rom

Next time you flash a rom id say just download it to you sd card and power off phone & hold the power,vol down,cam i dont know why but rom manager has gave me issues too

Sounds like you're trying to use the soft keys to control Clockwork. You have to use the volume up/down to move through menus and the camera button for select.

And btw do not use ROM Manager. It is broken for the Epic.

sometimes softkeys work... i use the little glowy back button on the bottom of my phone to go back. but normally you gotta GOTTA use the vol+- keys and camera button. i screwed my phone up a few times, actually bricked it once. if you mess things up real bad you can always pull battery- boot into download mode, and use odin to go back to ___ (which ever version of android you're using, be it stock, ec05, eb13, or whatever floats your boat). you will loose everything on your phone that you havent backed up, but if you mess somethin up real bad sometimes its the last thing you can do (since we all voided our warrantys to have stuff like that fixed by sammy or sprint as soon as we put cwm on our devices)
