Stuck Note 10.1

The other day I picked up my Note 10.1 after charging it as I needed to sort out some graphics I'd been working on. When I switched it on it wouldn't get past the 'Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1' notice. I left it overnight and returned to it in the morning. I held the power on + Vol Up button to see if a reset was in order and it's now stuck in Odin Mode saying it's downloading something. I've tried holding the power button to restart, but every time I do the screen flashes with a strange pixelated image over and over again and does nothing. I left it overnight again in Odin Mode, but nothing resolved.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need the tablet for my work and I'm in a bit of a panic. D: I haven't even had it a year yet.

Tablet has to be "connected" to PC or some network device to download in Odin Mode... Just turn it off.... Just hold down power button till it goes dark.... If it does not do a proper shutdown. something else is going on...

As I say, I tried that but it just shows a manked up screen and doesn't actually turn off right. I just did it again and now it's just flashing up a manked up Odin Mode screen instead.

I have a video to illustrate the issue on Youtube that I just uploaded under /watch?v=LCMmTxBE044 if that's of any help.

The only changes I made recently was turning Cloud storage back on to sort out my files. Other than that I didn't do anything out of the ordinary.

Try to boot into recovery. You will feel a very slight tremor when it shuts down from the download mode. Deftly press in the volume up and home button in conjunction with the power button. It should boot into recovery giving you the option to reboot. It may take several attempts to get the sequence right.

It won't do anything besides the screen flashing with a grainy, fuzzy image. It won't switch off, boot into safe mode, or anything. It just flashes until the battery dies. No amount of button pressing/holding works.

Well, it's been trying for the past god knows how long then. I've had it on waiting for over 32 hours and it's still doing it. No buttons work, the screen won't get past the fuzzy image. I can't switch it off, or anything. It just flashes on and off.

Once it's on the image let go of the buttons and if it is showing the image that I am thinking of it will go to recovery mode in about one minute.

As I said, it doesn't do that. It just keeps flashing on and off even after you release the buttons. Surely it wouldn't take over 32 hours.
