AC Question

My LG V20 somehow died last night while I was asleep. When I plugged it in and tried to turn it on, it came up with a secure start-up screen asking for the password to my gmail account. I couldn't remember my gmail password so I managed to go in and change it, but my phone won't accept the new password. Is there any way I can get past it without having to completely reset my phone?

Welcome to Android Central! If you change your Google password, you have to wait 24 hours before logging back into your phone.

Are you certain it was asking for your Google account? If the phone somehow was factory reset, and if there was a previous owner who didn't properly remove their Google account prior to the factory reset, Google's Factory Reset Protection feature would be asking for that previous owner's Google account, not yours.
