I just updated to android 13 on samsung S20. It was stuck on tmobile logo screen. I've wiped cache and problem still persists. Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! How long have you let it sit on that screen? If it's longer than about 30 minutes, then I would agree with mustang7757, you probably need to do a factory reset from the Recovery Menu.

Hey, I timed it for 30m and let it sit more... yea had to factory reset

Did it work ok after the reset? Sorry you had to go through the hassle, but this unfortunately does happen from time to time.

If anyone happens to have any spare time and advice, my Galaxy Fold 4 did the same thing after an update early 2024, stuck on Tmobile screen and then loops indefinitely afterwards "optimizing apps" at 100%, ive left it for 4 days in a row and nothing else happens, ive also wiped the cache, then wiped the phone (factory reset) and THEN used Odin3 on windows to flash the latest firmware from Sammobile... succeeded but then still nothing new, back to square one. I haven't sent the phone in but I don't want to pay if possible. If someone happens to see this and has any other ideas, I'll just work on it in the meantime and I appreciate if anyone does have anything to say.

Welcome to AC!

Your situation sounds like a hardware issue

Thank you for the input, I guess I'll really have to send it in for repairs, I just really was hoping to not do that, ive already bought the phone at a steep price a year ago and didn't have a protection plan on it. I should've bought a normal phone like everyone else but the folding aspect of it caught my eye.

Yeah sorry
I seen you tried flashing the firmware and still didn't help
