I am stuck and not sure what to do or what went wrong.
I used the revolutionary tool It accepted my beta key then i got this

Root acquired!
Sending in Caroline...
Retrieving Caroline from certain doom...
Retrying Caroline.....

Errors (if Any):-

mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00000000
mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00000000
mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00000000
mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00000000
mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00000000
Press (almost) any key to exit

is there some thing wrong with my SDcard that needs to be addressed before clockwork will take on my phone?
Or is there something else wrong with my EVO?

You can try and format the SD card and do a data/factory reset. Also make sure you selected the right hboot version when you done your beta key.

Revolutionary isn't going to give you root, so I have no idea what you did. Revolutionary gives you s-off. You need the superuser file after revolutionary for root. Don't know what "Caroline" is either. Mine didn't do that. Is your puter windoze or Linux? You don't install clockwork until you have root from the su file. That may be your problem.

Well i tried a factory reset formated my sd card and still get the same message. is it possible that my computer is the issue?

Yes. If you're downloading the wrong file, no drivers, or not following the instructions step by step. I have rooted 3 EVOs and 2 thunderbolts this week using revolutionary...with zero issues.

Make sure that your anti-virus is turned off and make sure you do have the correct hboot version.

So I researched XDA and found one other person with this problem and a couple with almost the same problem. is it possible that my nand block is bad in my phone? There has been no solid answer on this issue any where. I have tried 2 computers, installed uninstalled all drivers numerous times. did a factory reset. at this point I am lost. Is there any way to check the Nand Blocks to check if there bad?

Ok..you NEVER answered some simple questions, so there is no way I could even begin to try and help you. Best of luck!

Have you tryed doing this , find revolution executable and right click run as admin . Mine gave me trouble till I did that

TO ALL READING THIS ----- The OP says it will be a couple of days before we hear anything else as he's moving.

I also have the 'bad blocks' error. Mention of this problem in IRC will get you a response of 'no workaround at this time' - and the problem is a hardware problem with the phone.
I would love to see a solution to this problem, besides getting a replacement from sprint, because I don't thinking going in and saying 'Hi, my NAND memory has errors, any chance of a new phone?' is going to get very far!!

Hello I am in the same jam here......... Sending in Caroline ? Then 6 lines of mtd: not writing bad block at 0x00060000

can someone help me with this ? maybe the newest RUU to restore the phone ?

Happy New Year 2012 everyone and thank you in advance

The only feasible option for those people with too many bad NAND blocks for Revolutionary to work is to upgrade to the latest stock ROM (4.67) and use HTC's method to unlock your bootloader. That will allow you to flash a custom recovery and root your device.

If that works, it may also be possible to roll back to a previous baseband (radio) so that unrevoked may work.
