Sorry for the fuss if it's been covered before. I'm new to hacking/rooting. Never done it before on android. Was looking at stump root before. Is it as simple as it says? I'm on lollipop ATM tho. Will it work on that?

Stump root is really as simple as it sounds. Just be sure you turn down your volume. There is a sort of musical sense of humor there. Xoxomaox is right as far as I know, in that it likely won't work on 5.0. However I do not think there is any danger of doing any damage. It will either work or not. The early build of Stump sometimes took a long time. The newer 1.2.0 version seems to have cured that. Yes, the Brute Force is/was necessary as I remember.

I was not aware there was a 5.0 out to the LG G3 yet. However I've had various 5.0 stuff since about Thanksgiving and have frankly not paid much attention.

It is pretty easy to flash back to stock 4.4.2 10B with the LG flash tool (similar to Odin for Samsung if you've ever used that). All necessary reading material is on XDA.

Something to keep in mind is that as of now, there are some bugs with most of the 5.0 custom ROM's. Just the nature of the beast for now. Sometimes the camera is cranky, video may be too. Data is or at least was sometimes inconsistent and the GPS can sometimes be a PITA to get to lock. Updates are coming fast and furious and every one gets something worked out.

Could you give me a link? Thanks
If you downgrade to KitKat you can then root, install bumped recovery, then flash a rooted Lollipop rom. This is the most ideal method as you will then have an easy backup and flashing method with TWRP.
