Do I have to remove the current overlay to switch to a different one?

Been using the spectrum theme and it's amazing. To simply put it a must! finally I can have a 100% themed to my liking Android still rooted and always will be b/c I like it that way but if I wasn't I'd be thrilled to have this as a option to at least have the feeling of customization to my phone
