Just wondering if any one can suggest any thing to solve my problem. Over the past week or so, my phone has been really laggy when I open Handcent and while typing on the multitouch stock keyboard and the gingerbread keyboard. I'm not sure what's causing it. I use LPP. Thanks.

I would try powering it off just to get a fresh recycle. If its still a problem a factory reset might help to clear up any stuck memory issues. Good luck.

Reboot your phone. Are you rooted? If yes then cache cleaner. If not then power down phone then hold HOME and power on phone.

See if those help. Next think is in Handcent, go to the Menu then delivery log then clear delivery log.

Battery pull ... take battery out, wait one full minute (or more), put back and turn on. Will fix many issues.

Also, I would be suspicious of any new apps you might have dl. Sudden changes in behavior often indicates something is not playing nice-nice with your X or other apps. Not all are friendly. If a battery pull doesn't fix it, take off the most recent apps one at a time and see if there's any improvement.

I've tried the deleting new apps and I've tried reboots. I just did another reboot and it solved my problem at least for now. What exactly do I need to do to clear the cache? I thought there was more steps than just a reboot and power on while holding home.

That is one option. The other is to root the device and download an app cachecleaner.

To wipe cache:
Turn phone off, hold power button + home button, when you see the android icon & triangle & !, press search key, then use volume rocker to scroll down to "wipe cache", use camera button to select.

I just tried it. Sorry if I don't know what I'm talking about cuz I've never read into it but was it supposed to give me some kind of confermation that it cleared the cache?

Handcent still opens really slow though. I wonder if its just a problem with the app its self.
