do you think cause it is 64 bit......?
just asking ...not sure

I solved that problem a LONG time ago. OSCC 2.0 is developed on a 64-bit machine so that's not the issue. That issue in particular was because I hadn't included the required third-party UI libraries.

That issue has been fixed since alpha.

ok so iv tried the boot animation an the automation tool thing an both seem not to be working for me can someone help

Simply saying "it doesn't work" doesn't help me at all. What is leading you to believe it's not working? What steps have you taken?

OK well iv tried to install them an it says it was successful but wen i restarted the phone the boot animation didn't work an the automation tool wasn't there ether. so i don't know if i did something wrong what

The automation tools are NOT Android applications and will NOT show up in the app list. They are simply scripts that allow OSCC to interface with your phone.

I will take a look at the boot animation though. Are you sure you selected a correct bootanimation.zip file?

Hi Drew,
being somewhat of a noob I haven't used the tool yet. I have downloaded the version 2 beta 4 build and was getting familiar with it when I found I couldn't download anything with the package manager under the settings tab. So I installed the beta 3 version and was successful down loading the various packages. So I'm wondering where I went wrong with beta 4? Instead of downloading the packages I would get a dialog box. Should I install beta 4 and change the JIT setting it mentions in the dialog box, or would that have nothing to do with package downloads?

There is apparently a bug in beta 4 that causes this. Its not a bug in the application code but a compiler mis-configuration that I overlooked. Use beta 3 for now.

Hey Drew:

I rooted my phone via the method described in the pinned thread. I've also pushed the automation tools to my phone (accompanied by a load of SU permission requests). I still can't get any of the recovery mgmt buttons to fill in for clickability. Am I missing a step?

Thanks.

Try going to settings tab in OSCC.

Then click on the Recovery that you want.. ie. Xionia CWMA

Then click Apply..

It will ask u to download the file and then will ask you to restart the program for it to take effect.

Then when you go to Recovery Management tab, you will have the option now to install that specified recovery that you told it to download.

Hope that helps :p

Tried that this AM and got a program error. Continue put me back at square 1 and Quit closed the program. ARGH! I'm just trying to put Xionia's Recovery on a rooted phone; without it, why root? Any ideas?

Are you using beta 3? Because beta 4 has issues and wont let u download... ?? You will get it, dont stress too much :p

Ok, that's probably the answer. Can I DL the Beta 3 at the same site as the Beta 4? And is there any reason you can think of that I couldn't push the Xionia recovery using the tools provided if it's already rooted? I rooted with no problem, but getting either the Xionia or ThunderC recoveries loaded was a *****. This should be able to do that, right?

I really appreciate your help.

you should probably go thru the xionia recovery setup. You need to create the recovery partition etc with those commands. I dont think that this will help if you dont have a custom recovery already. If you want help running the commands via ADB I can try to help you out. And yes, you download beta3 from the same page.. just click below beta4 for old builds. Hope this is helping
