Super close to pulling the trigger on either the ONE or Moto X

Sense 5 will take one week to get used to. After that you will run across something you're not used to every once in a while.

Sense 5 is actually pretty nice.

And the One camera blows the X camera out of the water, imo.

I would expect battery life to be better in the Moto X, custom processor, lower rez screen, smaller screen, fewer pixels, and amoled all contribute. Plus maybe you turn your phone on less with active notifications.

I would caution you, the Moto X is not going to get Nexus like updates - that's a rumor.

Fair enough. I assume it'll be at least some improvement over my nexus 4. Least that's what Brian klugs AnandTech review showed on their battery life chart.

I had a 4 , now a One on T-Mo. One has better battery life.

I love my One, it's great. If you really must have a stock android feel you can just get nova launcher, it's lightweight, and you get the stock android feel. Plus you keep the screen resolution, the camera with Zoe, and you don't root. Just some options that seem to fit what you want

I went to the ATT store today and used both the Moto X and the HTC ONE. I really liked the HTC ones screen, but I still don't know if I could get used to sense 5. It's not that I despised it, it was just completely different and strange.

It's seems like I'd gain more personal positives with the moto x: better UI, supposedly better battery life, active notifications, and much closer to a google android experience than the one. Really, I just want stock(ish) android.

But I can't shake the feeling that I'm not getting the most value for my money when the phone is only 720p and the internals aren't as bleeding edge. I'm going to be paying full retail price on this phone (though it'll be overtime via att next) but I can't shake that I'm going to get more with the HTC ONE than with the moto x since there so close in retail price.

I know the moto x hardware is probably good enough, all the review I've read said as much, but I can't shake that feeling. One thing I'm worried is that with the HTC ONE I'm buying into HTCs version of Android, not Google's.

Anyone have any thoughts or advice? This is a very tough decision :(
You do a lot of shaking.

I have a One that I converted to GPE and love it. The moto x is tempting but I've decided to wait and see what moto x 2 will be like next year. I like the form factor, battery life, and active notifications of it but I would rather have a better screen and camera.

Battery wise, I make it through an entire day with 4 to 5 hours screen time in addition to some music and calls. That is plenty for me. If I was you, I would also wait to see the next nexus device. It will probably be better than the moto x at a cheaper price and then you don't have to pay the ridiculous costs of AT&T next.

I would personally get the Moto X. You will win either way as both are great phones.

I had the one and loved it (still do) but decided to try out the x today. I would have to say the x takes the cake. It's the most comfortable device I've ever used. Everything just feels right about it.
