Swiftkey 3 Voice Commands

Lately I've noticed that while texting (GoSMS) I've noticed that if I try the voice command for speech to text it does not work. I just get a blacked out screen where the keyboard is with the microphone picture but nothing works. Then a couple of days later I try it and it works fine. Does anyone know why this would work intermittently like this?

Does this only happen using GoSMS? Have you tried the stock Messaging app? What about other apps where you can input text?
I don't use that feature, so I don't have any ideas about what might conflict with it, other than other keyboard apps or other voice recognition software (S Voice, Google Now, etc.) - sorry.

No it also happens in Firefox and other apps. Its just intermittent so I can't figure out if its swiftkey or the paticular app I am in at the time?
